rince William and Kate Middleton’s children have reportedly been left “very excited” after their family dog, Orla, welcomed puppies.
According to reports, the black Cocker Spaniel welcomed quads recently, and Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are apparently already in love!

William and Kate’s dog Orla ‘welcomes puppies’
According to The Sun, there have been some new arrivals in the Wales household recently.
This is because the family dog, Orla, has given birth to quads.
“Mother and babies are doing well,” a source told the publication.
“We always thought the patter of tiny feet in the Wales’ household had ended, so the sound of tiny paws will have to do,” they added.
“Everyone loves a new royal baby news and so new royal puppies run very close. Everyone is very excited, not least the three children, who adore Orla, and Lupo before.”
It’s reportedly unknown at the moment what the family have called the new puppies, and whether or not they’ll be keeping them.
Royal Insider has contacted Kensington Palace for comment.
What kind of dog do William and Kate have?
Prince William and Kate have owned two Cocker Spaniels over the years.
Their first pup, Lupo, sadly died in 2020. Lupo was a wedding present for the couple back in 2011.
Orla, their second dog, was gifted to them by Kate’s brother, James Middleton, before Orla’s death.
Orla was rarely seen by the public until Kate’s cancer update video last September. In the video, Orla ran alongside Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. She also joined the family as they relaxed on the beach.
They’re not the only royals with pet pooches. Queen Camilla adopted a new pup, rescue dog Moley, recently.
King Charles is also the proud owner of an Italian truffle dog, Snuff, his first pet pup in 20 years.
Meanwhile, the late Queen Elizabeth II was a huge fan of dogs, owning more than 30 corgis in her lifetime.

Camilla’s new pup
Last week, Camilla shared a photo with her new dog Moley.
The queen adopted Moley after losing her previous dog, Beth, back in November 2024. Beth, a Jack Russell Terrier, was 13 when she died.
Like Beth, Moley was adopted from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
A photo of Camilla cuddling Moley was shared on the royal family’s official Instagram, ahead of the queen’s visit to the Dog Garden at Chelsea Flower Show.
“Meet mischievous Moley, the queen’s new much-loved canine companion who was recently adopted from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, where Her Majesty is Patron,” the caption read.
“What an adorable picture! I absolutely love it! Moley is so cute,” one royal fan commented.
“Thank you for rescuing this little soul. And for advocating rescue,” another said.
