The oracle revealed his prescient prophecy in a March 4 YouTube video revealing his prognostications for the month.
“I saw a ship or something in trouble, and I felt as if there will be an oil tanker problem coming up soon,” Craig Hamilton-Parker, better known as the “New Nostradamus” or “Prophet of Doom,” foretold in the clip. “It was a ship of some sort in trouble.”
The self-described seer added, “It could be an oil tanker, maybe it’s passenger, but I felt as if there was some sort of pollution thing.”
Seven days later, on March 11, the MV Solong cargo ship collided with the MV Stena Immaculate — a US-flagged oil tanker carrying 18,000 tons of jet fuel — off the English coast, causing both vessels to catch fire and prompting a rescue mission by the British Coastguard.Fortunately, rescuers managed to save 13 crewmembers from the Solong, but the remaining one was missing and presumed dead after the search was called off Monday.
Meanwhile, all 23 crewmembers of the Stena Immaculate were rescued.
UK authorities also apprehended the Solong’s 59-year-old captain, an unnamed Russian national, on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.
